The Arena

The Arena is a live, outdoor area in which players can take each other on using boffer weapons in organised rounds of combat. Graciously hosted by Epoch LARP, the Arena is also home to games such as Troll Bowl and Quiddich, games sure to please any fan! We’re also looking at new games such as Live Action Kung-Fu Fighting, so stay tuned for announcements about the Arena!

Who Can Play?

Anyone can play in the Arena, provided they are at least 14 years old and physically and mentally sound. Players will be asked to sign a release form before participating (basically to say they are responsible for their own safety), and a Safety and Logistics member will be on hand at all times to ensure your security.

Can I use my own props?

No, we do not allow the use of personal props. Boffer weapons (foam-padded weapons) will be provided for both the Arena and any games which require weapons run in the space.

Hours and Training

Typically the Arena has at least one Overseer present from Epoch LARP to teach people how to use their weapons and explain the rules. Overseers are your friends, so treat them with respect and listen to them. Their rules are law in the Arena.

The Arena hours will be forthcoming but are likely to begin at around 10:00 AM on Saturday and run until around 6:00 PM. Specific games and their hours will be listed here as well.
