STOP! Panel Time!

It’s time to gather up your friends, ideas, props and powerpoints and register for a panel for ConBravo! 2011!

Panels are a great way to share your ideas and experiences with others, from fellow fans, to fans of your work. A panel is usually hosted by 1-4 people, sometimes with a moderator, who give a presentation, host a roundtable discussion, or teach a workshop on something fan-related.

Please fill out the panel registration form so that we can accurately categorize, describe and promote this year’s panels. Please help us out by reading the following descriptions before filling out your form.

// Panel Categories:

  • Industry: These types of panels are for anyone looking to share their experiences with working in the real world (for pay or fun, doesn’t matter!). If you’re an animator, voice actor, cosplay model, game reviewer with your own YouTube channel, comic artist, convention director or whatever, come and share your stories!
  • Fandom: Fandom panels encompass everything we love about that one particular thing. It can be a work of reverence, parody or unapologetic sacrilege, as long as it’s done with love for a particular work of whatever.
  • Scholastic: You know those professors who teach entire courses on the importance of Harry Potter? Ever thought Final Fantasy was more deserving? For the scholar and over-analyst in all of us, scholastic panels let you lecture about your fandoms from a more scientific/philosophical/psychological/cultural/anthropological point of view.
  • Artistic: For those that love to create, we have artistic panels. A great place for those that make costumes, manga, videos, stories and everything else, come and tell us how you do what you do!
  • Workshop: For those that like to learn (and teach) in a more hands-on fashion. Workshops involve a large amount of moving and interactivity, but they’re definitely a lot of fun!
