Event Announcement: LAMP returns to ConBravo!

Wednesday, April 11th, 2012

The event that everyone enjoys being publicly embarrassed at is making its timely return to ConBravo!. The past two years, you’ve enjoyed gargling jello, attempting to “breakdance”, firing confetti cannons across the room, and wearing very, very silly hats, in an effort to prove just how ridiculous a species we are. The people behind this hilariously cruel social experiment hail from the United States and, naturally, have chosen to prey on us Canadians.

Be forewarned: Live Action Mario Party and its crew have not sat idle. They have dreamt up new horrors to visit upon their eager test subjects, and they will show no quarter. You will laugh. You will cry. And at some point, all of your dignity will die. We urge every one of you to participate and see just how far down the rabbit hole the games go, and you may even see some of our very own staff and volunteers subjecting themselves to what LAMP has in store.

Ah well, not like we had self-respect to begin with. Bring on the jello slurping.

FanService Productions Casting Call

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012

In way of community service, we felt everyone should know about FanService Productions and their casting call. They’re Toronto-local, so be sure to look ‘em up!

FanService Productions is creating a comedy about people who go to conventions. We plan to do everything we can to make this happen. To create a pilot for this show we need a main cast, secondary characters, extras, crew, and any other help we can get. If you are interested please give us some support and help make a great show.

Show Premise: Jordan is just finishing college. With a connection through his teacher, he’ll land an internship at his dream job. Sadly, the teacher wants a favor from him: joining the school’s Anime Club, run by his niece. Their sixth member dropped out and without the extra person, their club will lose all their benefits. Jordan reluctantly accepts and joins the Anime Club under the false pretense that he needs extracurricular activities for his resume. He meets a socially inept group of convention goers and is soon thrust into the world of Anime and Conventions.

Please support us and join in on the fun by liking our Facebook page and following us on twitter.
