Hey folks, it’s the 11th hour, but we’ve got one last guest to sneak in past the doors: Syd Bolton!

Syd’s Canada’s greatest collector of personal computers and video games, and he’ll be bringing part of his collection to ConBravo!. He’ll be at the show talking shop, running panels, and meeting with fans, fellow collectors, and more, so be sure to give him a big welcome!

Site Revamp

It’s a happenin’ day outside, the sun’s out, spring is here, and with the season comes Spring Cleaning!

Having dusted off our ol’ website, we decided to give her a facelift that reflects this year’s theme: 8-bit! While not strictly from the 8-bit era, pixel art and early gaming has shaped a lot of what we do today. The retro revival is going strong and gamers everywhere are learning that what’s old is new again, as shiny as the day it was first discovered.

That in mind, we’d like to show our support for the retro revival and gaming in general! Folks, when you come out to ConBravo! this year, we want to see gamers. Lots of gamers! If you love Street Fighter, Doom, Call of Duty, NHL ’94, Mario Kart, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and Pong, then we want to see you show it!

Bring your costumes, bring your fighting spirit, and most of all, bring your fandom. ConBravo!’s gonna hit you with some massive updates in the next month, so be prepared!

Settlers of Catan @ Conbravo!

ConBravo! is having a special Settlers of Catan tournament on Sunday! Come on down and register ahead of time so you can get your place ensured in line. There will be prizes for the top three players as well as a raffle for non-qualifying players. Come on and get ready to settle!

Open Gaming @ Conbravo

Conbravo will have dedicated areas for Pokemon and Magic: the Gathering on Sunday. Come by and meet up with new people, play the formats and cards that you always wanted to and discuss all things card gaming. Open gaming for Pokemon will be on Sunday from 9am until 1pm. Open gaming for Magic will go from 2pm to 6:30pm.

From 9am until 1:30, space will be available for other board and card games. We will have a variety of games for people to pull out and play and can demo them if no one is familiar. You are more than welcome to bring your own games to share with new people.

Make sure to put your name down when you come by because we will be having a raffle at the end of each open gaming session.

Freeplay Gaming @ ConBravo!

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! ConBravo! is here to attend to your gaming appetites all of Sunday, from the wee hours of morning, to when the doors close at 8:00pm.

Freeplay will be available starting from 1:00AM on Sunday, starting in the video programming and panel/workshop rooms. Then at 9:00 AM, the action shifts to the main gaming hall, where over twenty consoles will be set up with games of all kinds, from retro to modern, platformers to fighting games.
