Event Announcement: LAMP returns to ConBravo!

The event that everyone enjoys being publicly embarrassed at is making its timely return to ConBravo!. The past two years, you’ve enjoyed gargling jello, attempting to “breakdance”, firing confetti cannons across the room, and wearing very, very silly hats, in an effort to prove just how ridiculous a species we are. The people behind this hilariously cruel social experiment hail from the United States and, naturally, have chosen to prey on us Canadians.

Be forewarned: Live Action Mario Party and its crew have not sat idle. They have dreamt up new horrors to visit upon their eager test subjects, and they will show no quarter. You will laugh. You will cry. And at some point, all of your dignity will die. We urge every one of you to participate and see just how far down the rabbit hole the games go, and you may even see some of our very own staff and volunteers subjecting themselves to what LAMP has in store.

Ah well, not like we had self-respect to begin with. Bring on the jello slurping.

ConBravo! is going to head up to G-Anime this week! G-Anime a celebration of Japanese anime, manga, and gaming going on in Gatineau, QC, right across the bridge from Ottawa. It’s running over January 27-29th and will be held at the Palais des congrès de Gatineau. Please come and stop by our ConBravo! promo table and say hi!

Outdoor Events for Next Year

Hey ladies and gents!

Our outdoor events like the Arena, Troll Bowl, and Quidditch were huge successes this year, and we`re deeply grateful to Epoch LARP for making it happen.

That said, we want to expand the scope of our outdoor events for next year and see where it takes us. What other kind of events would you guys want to have? We’re already considering a ballpit of some kind open to all ages, as well as a nerf battle, so please send us your ideas!

Last Minute Events Addition – Battle Royale

Hosted by the folks at Emiko’s Mini Convention based out of Waterloo, Battle Royale is an all-day event which will be running on both Saturday and Sunday. The game features random challenges between players in the halls, resolved through games of rock-paper-scissors, determining who is crushed and who survives. To play, please report to the EMC table located in the hallway between Harvester and Halton halls.

Hey folks, the venerable vintage gamers over at A&C Games are having a special opening day for their new gaming hall, A&C World! ConBravo! is gonna be there to meet a whole bunch of you, take in ideas, talk shop, and support A&C in their new venture. We’re great friends with A&C and we’re hoping to see everyone there!
