ConBravo! is going to head up to G-Anime this week! G-Anime a celebration of Japanese anime, manga, and gaming going on in Gatineau, QC, right across the bridge from Ottawa. It’s running over January 27-29th and will be held at the Palais des congrès de Gatineau. Please come and stop by our ConBravo! promo table and say hi!

Our outdoor events like the Arena, Troll Bowl, and Quidditch were huge successes this year, and we`re deeply grateful to Epoch LARP for making it happen.

That said, we want to expand the scope of our outdoor events for next year and see where it takes us. What other kind of events would you guys want to have? We’re already considering a ballpit of some kind open to all ages, as well as a nerf battle, so please send us your ideas!

The game features random challenges between players in the halls, resolved through games of rock-paper-scissors, determining who is crushed and who survives. To play, please report to the EMC table located in the hallway between Harvester and Halton halls.

Results of the Mario Kart 64 tournament will be forthcoming, we hope you guys had a blast competing and that you’ll come out for our regular tournaments as well!

We’d also like to take a moment to apologise to some attendees. We realise that a couple of our promoters were a bit pushy and took their jobs too seriously. To those of you who felt a bit crowded, we’d like to extend our sincerest regrets to you. Promotions are a big deal and some people get carried away. We realise this, and hope you’ll forgive us. It’s ConBravo!’s commitment to all fans that we act in an open and friendly manner, and that we always account for our mistakes.

You’ll see a big banner declaring our love of rainbows and gaming, and a pack of giggling nerds fawning over an N64 and handing out flyers.

We’re going to have a few contests running at the table as well as pre-registration. If you haven’t bought your badge already, AN’s a prime time to do it! We can only accept cash at the table, so please bear that in mind.
