Dawn McKechnie, also known as “Kaijugal” has been involved in the Canadian costuming community and costuming fandom for over 20+ years.
An artist, Halloween addict, and self described “costuming enthusiast” she has won numerous awards for her unique costume creations over the years, including several Best In Shows.
More recently Dawn has been involved with organizing, administration, and education at costume events.
She currently not only coordinates the Cosplay Events Department for Anime North, but is also the director of several masquerades including FanExpo.
When not directing costume events, or leading panels on costume design techniques and stagecraft, Dawn can be found preforming as a cast member at Castle Blood, an award winning haunted attraction in Pennsylvannia.
Recently she spearheaded the winning bid to have Costume-Con 32 come to Toronto, Canada in 2014 and hopes that the Canadian costuming community will take advantage of this rare opportunity to attend on their home turf.
